2026 Event Guide FINAL

WELCOME TO GARNER ARTS CENTER ENRICHING – EXPERIENTIAL– EXCITING!

Dear Friends: We are thrilled to welcome you to the 25th anniversary edition of GARNER Arts Festival! Begun in 2001 as a labor of love between resident artists and the property owner, the Garnerville Arts & Industrial Center, GARNER Arts Festival has grown in breadth and reach to become a well-known and respected regional attraction throughout the Hudson Valley and New York metro area. This year, GARNER Arts Festival Meets America 250, with a blend of GARNER’s signature contemporary art exhibitions and a modern take on America’s journey, starting with GARNER Arts Center’s home, the GARNER Historic District, a 19th century former textile mill listed on the National and New York State Registers of Historic Places. Wander about the buildings and alleyways and discover at every turn how our past intersects with our present. Historic-themed exhibits include Posters for the People - exhibiting poster art created during World War II through the Works Progress Administration and giving visitors the opportunity to print posters of their own; Sculptor Emily Bedard’s designs and castings – created right here in the Historic District - for the Desert Storm Memorial to be unveiled in Washington D.C later this year; Kris Campbell’s Made America - monumental, cross-stitched textiles of the crops that built America; a GARNER Historic District history exhibit, and more. Our 25th anniversary festival will delight you at every turn: from the Dye Works Artisan Markets sponsored by Calyx to the M&T Bank sponsored Kids’ Creative Art Workshop; from the PKF O’Connor Davies live performance Rivertown Film’s Short Film Festival to portraits of Rockland women hanging over the Creek; from a marble sculptor creating live by a waterfall to this year’s Building 35 gallery exhibition Those Who Can, featuring art teachers from throughout the USA and Canada. Plus 20+ Open Artist Studios! If you enjoy your time with us, please BECOME PART OF GARNER ARTS CENTER LEGACY!
