Can they speak for us after we’re gone-What would they say? 15 years ago, artist Kris Burns wound up with a collection of mystery boxes from a family home in Flatbush. When she went through them, she realized she had the story of her family all wrong and had to begin a new one for herself. Her multimedia installation invites you to explore this col lection amidst the wonders of the Frank Welles Gallery and consider the mystery of the things we leave behind.
